Timber Stop Log Panels
These Stop Log Panels were built with Douglas Fir #1 and btr raw material, and featured hardwood splines, neoprene bottom seals, galvanized hardware and crosby lifting eyes. They were 6″ thick x 36″ wide x 84″ long and will be used to stop water in a penstock channel in a “run of river” hydro facility. The Stop Log panels are easier to deploy and don’t leak between logs. Obviously the eye hooks are spun off before stacking in the channel. This is a simple lifting system.
Neoprene seals on bottom of Stop Log Panels
Hardwood splines will swell in the water and reduce leakage. They also add immense strength and keep everything “straight”.
