This huge ship was transited over our transition mats from the land on to a dry dock. The dry dock sat 12″ higher than the land, so we built a bunch of transition mats and they lined them up on the edge. The SPMT (wagon) with 600 independent wheels “walked” across from land to drydock in 30 minutes. Each set of wheels can turn independently and the wagon can raise and lower each axle independently. Preparation is the key to a good finish! These Transition Mats were 12″ x 60″ x 120″ with a  12″ heel and 1″ toe complete with 2 rods. We also made 8″ x 60″ x 120″ mats with a 8″ heel and a 1″ toe. These will be deployed at the same shipyard.
